So I started small. Mornings with God and in my walk with him, I discovered a peace I’ve never known. His truth began replacing all the negative self-talk and I still think most of it was Satan but it didn’t matter where it came from anymore because God’s truth gave me hope and it made me feel loved and it gave me new standards to live my life by. 

His truth changed the way I felt about myself and that changed everything else including what I wanted to do for a living. So I made God’s business my business. I stopped allowing all the noise to block the only voice I needed to hear. I only cared about what he cared about. 

In spending time with him, I found talents and gifts I didn’t know I had. I started reading again and then writing and well here we are. To be clear, it was about two years before the lightbulb came on and writing about my experiences was something I should do. The great thing about worshipping a King is that he makes you believe you are royalty and then with his majestic ways he makes you know that you are. Queens do Queen things and Queens know how to live among Kings. In worship you get to see yourself properly. Not who the world says you should be. Not who your family expects you to be. Not who your friends pressure you to be. Not who your relationships leave you to be but who God says you are.
